  • Material:
    Body, shield and ball stud Low carbon steel.Body and ball stud are case hardened.
    Spring 302 S 26 stainless steel or equivalent.

    Protective Finish:
    Body, shield and ball stud Zinc plated and passivated; body and ball stud de-embrittled. The assembly is lubricated.

    • SAE J 940 Style 1 Quick Release Ball Joints
    • The spring loaded outer shield allows both rapid release and reconnection of the ball stud. Linkage assemblies can be installed or removed without disturbing pre-set centres.
    • The QRI Ball Joint is available without the ball stud for assembly to a pre-positioned ball stud and the ball studs are also available separately.
    • Knurled shields to assist grip are available as an option

  • Material:

    Inner retaining ring Hard drawn spring steel to SAE1070 or equivalent

    Protective Finish:
    Body and ball stud Zinc plated, de-embrittled and passivated.
    Inner retaining clip Self-color. The assembly is lubricated.

    • SAE J 490 style 4 Ball Joints
    • Ball stud is retained by a hardened and tempered steel ring resulting in high pull-out load. There is an optional gaiter available to help resist dirt ingress.
    • If a fitted gaiter is required then the suffix “G should be added to the part number. E.g FIG10.
    • The FI Ball Joint is ideal for severe wear conditions and is also resistant to vibration and high shock loading.
    • Metric sizes of this range are also available.

    • The swaging of the body produces a permanent assembly and the fitted gaiter helps resist dirt ingress. The h exagon form of studs facilitates assembly.

    Clip CS70 carbon steel strip, hardened and tempered, equivalent SAE 1070.

    Protective Finish:
    Body and ball stud Zinc plated, de-embrittled and passivated. The assembly is lubricated.

    • SAE J 490 Style 1 Ball Joints
    • The PI Series is Lightweight and slim line. To resist wear, the ball stud and body cavity are both case hardened. The spring clip allows the ball stud to be easily disconnected or re-assembled during installation. The Hexagon form of the studs facilitate assembly.
    • The PI Ball Joint is available without the ball stud for assembly on to a pre-positioned ball stud and the ball studs are also available separately.
    • Metric sizes of this range are also available.

    Ball stud Medium carbon steel, ball is induction hardened.
    Inner retaining clip and safety clip Hard drawn spring steel.

    Protective Finish:
    Body, ball stud and inner retaining clip Zinc plated and passivated; ball stud and ring are de-embrittled. The assembly is lubricated.

    • Based Upon Din 71802 Series
    • The polyurethane liner combined with a high performance grease provide superior wear properties combined with excellent chemical resistance.
    • Spanner flats on ball stud and body facilitate assembly.
    • Once assembled, the ball stud cannot be removed.
