    Ball stud Medium carbon steel, ball is induction hardened.
    Inner retaining ring and safety clip Hard drawn spring steel.

    Protective Finish: Zinc plated and passivated. Ball Stud, inner retaining ring and safety clip are de-embrittled. The assembly is lubricated.

    • Based upon Din Standard 71802
    • The ball stud is retained by a captive internal wire ring with additional stud retention security provided by the external wire safety clip.
    • For improved wear resistance, the ball is induction hardened and there is an optional gaiter available to help resist dirt ingress.
    • If a fitted gaiter is required then the suffix “G should be added to the part number. E.g CBJG10.
    • CBJ Ball Joints are also available without stud for later assembly on to a pre-positioned stud.
    • Compatible with Threaded Ball Studs and Rivetting Ball Studs.

    • Metric Equivalent to SAE J 490 Style 1 Quick Release Detachable Ball Joints
    • The spring loaded outer shield allows both rapid release and reconnection of the ball stud. Linkage assemblies can be installed or removed without disturbing pre-set centres.
    • The QRM Ball Joint is available without the ball stud for assembly to a pre-positioned ball stud and the ball studs are also available separately.
    • Knurled shields to assist grip are available as an option

    • Din 71802 Series
    • The Ball stud is retained by a captive internal wire retaining ring which makes this ball joint suitable for transmitting push and pull loads. The hexagon form on body (spanner flats on part IBJ 12) and spanner flats on ball stud facilitate assembly.
    • The extensive load carrying capacity is achieved by the self locking action of the inner retaining ring, angular misalignment can be accommodated.
    • For improved wear resistance, the ball is induction hardened.
    • The IBJ Ball Joint is supplied with a fitted gaiter to resist ingress of contaminants.
    • Once assembled, the ball stud cannot be removed.
